Advanced Open Water - Adventure
Diver
Course
The Adventures in Diving program
offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver
certifications. Complete any three adventure dives & you
can earn your Adventure Diver certification. Complete your Deep
Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives
for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
You should take Advanced/ Adventure Diver soon after your Open Water Diver course!
After your five dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the
water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater
environment and your abilities.
Prerequisites
- Any Open Water Diver certification
- Minimum age: 12
Course Summary
This certification includes five Adventure Dives, including Underwater Navigation,
Night Dive, Deep Dive, plus two elective dives;
- Underwater Naturalist
- Search and Recovery
Timeframe:
Our course meets first for class orientation, followed by a weekend consisting of 5
ocean dives, including the last 2 dives from our chartered boat.
Minimum Open Water Training for Advanced Open Water: 5 dives over two days
Training Fee:
$140 + Boat Fee for
Sunday Dive (~$35 to $85

Next Step?
Advanced Open Water Divers at least 15 years of age can enroll in a
Wreck or Deep Diver Specialty courses or continue on to the Rescue Diver
course.
Each dive can also credit towards the corresponding Specialty
Diver certifications.

Rescue DiverHow
do you take a subject like accident prevention and management and
turn it into fun? Call it the PADI Rescue Diver Program! This course
develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform
diver assists and rescues, manage a diving accident and render
first-aid.
The program is an important step in expanding your
knowledge as a diver. PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) is also a
prerequisite for all PADI leadership programs.
Prerequisites
- Open Water or Junior Open Water certification.
- Minimum age: 12
- Current CPR and First-Aid certification
Course Summary
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary,
manage dive emergencies. During your class, pool and open water sessions, you'll cover:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- dive first aid
- emergency management and equipment
- swimming and non-swimming assists
- panicked diver response
- underwater problems
- missing diver procedures
- surfacing the unconscious diver
- in-water artificial respiration
- egress (exits)
- first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
- dive accident scenarios
Timeframe: You'll meet for 2 class/ pool sessions, followed by 1
full day of ocean training.

Next Step?
Your now eligible for the Master Scuba Diver rating once you've
completed the specialties. You are also ready for Divemaster once
you complete the Advanced Open Water Course.

Master Scuba Diver
This certification denotes that you've reached the highest recreational
diver level in the PADI System of diver education. PADI Master Scuba
Diver indicates you have a significant amount of training and experience
in a variety of dive environments.

Next Step?
The PADI Master Scuba Diver certification is the highest recreational
level of diver education. But, you don't have to stop
there! You can continue on to become a PADI Professional. As a Master
Scuba Diver you'll be well qualified to begin your training as a PADI
Divemaster.
